Another WISP Done

The Spotlight quilt is completed. I finished stitching the binding last night while watching Jam and Jerusalem on the ABC. This is a new English comedy with lots of great female actors such as Dawn French, Maggie Steed, Joanna Lumley, Sue Johnson and Jennifer Saunders playing the members of a women's guild in a quaint English village. Love these sorts of shows.

I photographed some more WISPS this morning including this Redwork Pincushion from Picaninni Patchwork. I seem to remember purchasing this at a craft fair at Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne a few years ago. All the redwork is done so it shouldn't take long to finish.

Also snapped this flimsy made from Christmas fabrics. This was only started last year. I have a big box of country style Christmas fabrics and this quilt was an attempt to use some of them up. I followed a pattern called Streak of Sunshine on Bonnie Hunters website, Quiltville Custom Quilting.

  1. Yum! Love the Spotlight Quilt and so nice to see it finished. I'll be down soon to take a hands on/close up look! (Just to make sure its not too perfect lol) :o)
Tali talked about her fabrics lots yesterday and can't wait to get started. I think Jesse's even keen to give it a go. (gosh he's a beautiful biy!) Not sure if letting Micah too close to the sweing machine is a good idea just yet - might get him to do his 'own' stitchery, as he was always so keen on'helping' you with yours.
