Fabric Shopping

Just returned from an overnight visit to Hobart with my sister and her kids. While away we visited one of my favourite quilt shops, The Quilted Crow. This shop is gorgeous - they have lots of reproduction, 1930's, retro and country fabrics. There are heaps of beautiful samples to inspire you and they also have antique quilts on display. Heaven! I tend to get a bit overawed in shops like this - I want it all. I managed to restrain myself reasonably well. The fat quarters above are by Judie Rothermel (I love all her fabrics) and mostly from her Spirit of the Season range.

On a previous visit to the Quilted Crow I picked up some fat quarters from the Chocolat range by 3 Sisters. In the sale bin were these two fabrics so I got some bigger pieces to use for borders. Just have to decide what to make now!

Also on sale was this gorgeous pre-quilted fabric called Wuthering Heigths, again by 3 Sisters. It consists of two different prints either side of a thin batting. For a while I have wanted to try making some bags, so I might use this fabric. I think it would cool maybe with some yo-yo's for embellishment. We'll see.
