Gardening Angel

Pulled out another WISP today - this Gardening Angel stitchery was designed by Sue Jones from The Stitched Up Angel in Western Australia. I purchased the pattern at the Tasmanian Craft Fair at Deloraine quite a few years ago. I seem to remember buying about five of their patterns. The original was done in various shades of mauve but as often happens I used my own colours. I love the little snails and the beehive. At one time I was collecting beehives and this is probably from that era.

I think I'll turn this stitchery into a cushion or small wallhanging using some of the fabrics below. These are leftovers from a large quilt I made a few years ago - still just a top. Just some simple borders and prairie points is what I'm thinking.

The Tis the Season table runner has the binding attached - just has to be hand stitched to the back. Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow. A few people have commented on my productivity - I am making the most of being on holidays and the WISP challenge is a great motivator. I don't expect to win - getting some projects finished is reward enough. When I go back to school in February things will slow down a lot I'm sure.
