This morning I got a lovely surprise when reading my comments. Anne Marie has given me an award for being an amazing blogger. This is very nice as she was one of the first people to drop by when I started blogging at the end of December. I can't believe how many people are visiting each day and leaving such encouraging comments. Before I started this blog I only really showed my stitching and craft to my sister and mum. I wasn't sure if anyone else would be interested and whether it was good enough to show people anyway. Wow, have things changed. I lurked around lots of blogs for a few months before nervously taking the plunge. I loved seeing what others were making so thought maybe someone would like to see what I do. Becoming a blogger and meeting so many inspiring and lovely people is the best thing I could have done. Thank you to everyone who has a left a comment and if you're thinking of starting a blog yourself go for it. You won't regret it.Earlier today I got all my completed January WISPs together and took some 'group' photos. When I counted there were 24 items! (Please remember lots of them are small and didn't take long to finish off.) Here is the obligatory photo of Oliver Henry doing his inspection.I also took some nice photos of Molly. She's such an old sweetheart and the best friend ever. When I'm sewing I have my cutting mat and rulers on the kitchen table and the sewing machine in the craft room. This way I get a bit of exercise walking from room to room! Whenever I change rooms, Molly follows and slinks down on the floor near by - a bit like this!
I think this is what's known as 'snout cam'.
I have decided to join in the fun at Capricorn Quilts and do Bea's stitchery Block of the Month. I'm obviously behind everyone else but have January and February printed and ready to transfer to fabric today. They're only little blocks so it shouldn't take long to catch up.
i started my blog primarily so that my sister could read a bit about our lives - but she never reads it (a computer phobe!). instead i met lots of crafty people and they inspired me. it's great really.
ReplyDeletei've enjoyed your blog - i'm pretty impressed with all finished wips.

ReplyDeleteMolly is the cutest!!! I love Golden Retreivers. The best dog I swear. You sure got lots of tings done there. Your trying to show all of us up aren't you? LOL
ReplyDeleteWell if Miss Molly wants a sleepover in Narromine NSW, she is most welcome as my Master Ollie and Miss Chloe would think she is great, and Molly looks as if she is very proud of what her Mummy has achieved this month and so does Olly. Blogging is so much fun, I basically started my own blog (I also do the one for Club Quilt) because of the Secret Santa Swap that Chookyblue did (thanks Donna)and it is so addictive...I think some of my friends think I am a little whacked...
