Having finished these 8 bon-bons my September OPAM tally is looking quite healthy.
I 'cheated' a little by using fabric printed with Christmas lyrics and phrases instead of stitching the fronts ... but I did needleturn each one. Was getting quite quick by the eighth one!
The green fabrics came from Stitchery Doo in Burnie ... they are from the Adoring range by Sandy Gervais. I managed to get 8 bon-bons from 2 fat quarters.
I used a mix of fabrics from my stash for the inner linings and one of my favourite ribbons
for the ties.
The bon-bon design is by Anni Downs. My 8 will be gifts at a special occasion coming up soon.
Nice work Christine!!

ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeleteI haven't visited your gorgeous blog for quite a while but I am glad I did today. Your stitching is always lovely to look at and offers a lot of inspiration.
My reason for visiting to day was to thank you for the idea way back in February,2008 of the stash buster quilt. I finally made mine up after keeping your link for so long.
Happy quilting,
Tracy
Your bon bons look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThose bon bons are a delight - what a great idea! Do you put (say) sweets in them and hang them on the tree? I guess you could - or they could be on a plate at the table.. You've made them beautifully!
