A Postcard for Leanne

Recently, Leanne asked me to stitch a block for the postcard quilt she is making. She sent it down already traced onto the fabric so all I had to do was stitch and add a message. Leanne does beautiful work so I am looking forward to seeing her progress as she pieces the quilt together.

In my humble opinion, Leanne has one of the best jobs in the world. Yes, she works at a quilt shop ... Esme's in Launceston. If you're anything like me, that would be your dream job.

The shop is filled with gorgeous fabrics ...

wonderful samples (many stitched by Leanne and the owner of the store, Lillian) ....

books and patterns.

There is also a room with lots of Christmas fabrics and projects.

Hope you enjoyed the little tour. Lillian was very keen for me to take some pictures for my blog. She has a lovely shop ... definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Launceston.
I've been busy today working on Easter presents ... will show you next week when they've been received. Really looking forward to the Easter break and catching up on lots of blog reading (and sleep!)
Bye for now.

  2. I love the post card. I did one for Leanne also - what a cute idea! Yes, working in a quilt shop part time would be great cuz then you would have time left to work on all the projects you get inspired to make and use the fabric you get at a discount!!! Maybe when I retire?!?!?
