Farm Girl Vintage Blocks

Hi. Remember me? Thought I'd have a go at doing a blog post (and see if I could remember what to do!)

I haven't done much sewing this year but have enjoyed working on a few Farm Girl Vintage blocks in recent months.

Apron Strings was a nice easy block to start with ...

and I really liked making the Autumn Star block even with all those tiny pieces.

Next up is my Baking Day block. I am using lots of Bonnie and Camille scraps for these 6 inch blocks.

The Butter Churn block was a bit of a challenge for me as you can see from the stretchiness on the left.

The last one for today is my Canning Season block. I have had an aversion to navy blue in the past but am trying to include it in small amounts in these blocks. Must say it is slowly growing on me ... never thought I'd say that!

Okay that wasn't so bad. I always used to post from a PC (which has since died!) so this iPhone/iPad method is a whole new thing to master.

  3. Welcome back, hope the new technology gets easier. Love the block with the bowl and spoon, very cute. This fabric range is just lovely and the little bit of navy is just right.
