I have been asked to share the method I use to make these. Paper piecing expert, Sue Daly has a tutorial here which explains it far better than I could. There are also great instructions with pictures in Vignette Issue 2 by Leanne Beasley. The sewline glue pen makes it so quick and easy and is definitely worth a try if you haven't yet attempted paper piecing.
Love your hexies. Thanks to you and redbrolly I made the bunny stitchery. I framed the circle in white ric-rac, stitched on to a little blue bag with a pink lining. I also made the patched draw string bag from A Quiting Life and gifted it to a friend for her birthday. Your blog is so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous hexies. Those glue pens do speed up the process. Tracee xx
