Haven't had time for a lot of stitching this weekend. Did manage to finish the first block of my redwork version of Rose's tablerunner. Those of you familiar with this design might notice I left out the french knots on the circle around the flowers. Just couldn't get them to look nice - have already apologised to Rose! I hope to work on the second block later tonight while watching Inspector Lynley.
Next Saturday, my sister and I are going to the Autumn Gathering organised by The Quilted Crow at Campania. We will have an early start as it is about a 3 hour drive from the north west. Lynette Anderson and Kerry Gillespie are the featured designers along with Leonie and Deidre from The Quilted Crow. If you would like to see the projects we will be working on have a look on The Quilted Crow's blog. I will, course, take lots of photos to share with you.
This is a cushion I made years ago that is a Lynette Anderson design. The pattern was in one of our Australian magazines but I can't remember which one. I can remember being very proud of the fact that I managed to use mostly the same fabrics as Lynette!
I like this quirky little angel.
And the house is very cute, too.
And here is my own little angel ...
... or maybe not!
What a naughty boy Olly! I love that cushion - I remember wanting to kidnap it when you made it. Nothing's changed, so keep your eye on it!!

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic weekend at Campania

I love the newest stitchery in redwork. Where were the french knots supposed to be?? I can't wait to see what you will work on your retreat. That Olly is being quite naughty like my Rolo with the floss on my last stitchery. Or maybe Olly was just saying that "This may look better if you place it here".
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery looks great en your pillow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKind regards

I love the stitchery, it looks wonderful. So does Olly!
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is lovely. The kitty help? Well, that seems to be what they feel they have to do! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou cheated! *lol* Here I struggled my way through all those french knots, and you skipped 2/3 of them! Looks good though! I really look forward to seeing it all done!
ReplyDeleteGreat cushion! Have a great time at the Autumn Gathering!
I just love the Austrailian quilt magazines but they aren't so easy to come by here. I discovered them on the shelf at one of the large chain bookstores but I'm able to stop in there regularly so I get then when & if. There are so many great designers down under and I know a visit to your quilt shows would be a piece of heaven.
ReplyDeleteI meant to write "I'm not able".
ReplyDeleteexcuse my typo
Hello! I am inloved with your blog and every one of your jobs!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but my English is not very good!
Love the cushion. I wish Lynette's patterns were readily available in the USA.
