A Bit More Scandinavian Rose

Stitching and sewing has been almost non-existent this term but with only a week to go before the July holidays I am looking forward to some 'me' time. Earlier in the term I finished two more Scandinavian Rose blocks. This heart block is my favourite so far.

I love the dala horses ...

and the cute little birdies.

This is the other block ... a lot less work in this one!

This morning I sewed the binding onto my Scrappy-Trip-Around-the-World quilt so just the hand sewing to do and I will have a finish to share.

  4. Oh I love the heart blocks too, especially the dala horses. (Why "dala"?) All the redwork is gorgeous and so is your quilt. :)

  10. I love those! I just started embroidery and mine looks thick and wavy and clumsy compared to yours! Do you use two strands of floss? What stitch is that? If you went to my blog and saw mine, you would feel sorry for me-lol! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

  19. Wow, this is definitely sweet! I love the way you stitch and created those lines. They really look so neat, clean and fantastic! Oh my, I wish I could stitch as neat and pretty as you do. I’ve been trying to stitch since 15 years old but my heart belongs to knitting.
