After plodding along on the applique borders I have finally finished my Simple Pleasures quilt top.
Will probably cut the outside borders back a bit ... I deliberately made them wider than
required to allow for fraying while I hand appliqued the triangles.
I nearly gave up on the triangles a couple of times but am glad I persevered
now I see the finished item.
Now to quilt it ... thinking I might try hand quilting with perle thread.
It looks lovely - well worth all the hard work! Will you be keeping this one??
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is just lovely. It certainly was worth the effort with those triangles. I used perle thread when I hand quilted my Leanne's House quilt. It gave it a lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh!, so pretty, enjoy the quilting :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's just lovely! I don't know if I could applique all those triangles or not! You did a great job on them. And I think the perle cotton would be perfect for this one! :0)
ReplyDeletevery pretty - I thought the triangles were pieced until I got to the part that you said they were appliqued! Do you have the pattern although I think I could figure it out easily so much easier if the measurements are always figured out though! Would look pretty to with fussy cut blocks for the centers instead of the embroidery as I don't do much of that.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
