More Simple Pleasures

Back to Simple Pleasures and here are those squares all sewn into four patches.
(minus the brown ones ... they weren't doing it for me!!)

All the blocks are made and the centre of the quilt is complete.

Really pleased with my fabric choices, especially those cute spots.

I lay the quilt top on the sewing room floor to try and get a picture of the whole thing ...
when this happened!

Here's a (nearly) cat free shot.

Now I'm working on the borders ... they will be a bit different to the pattern.

These scraps were too cute to toss out ... so they're currently looking pretty in a glass jar until I think of something better to do with them.

My first Figtree Club kit arrived today from Sarah. It is so gorgeous and features the latest Figtree range, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I can't wait to get stuck into it over the weekend.

  1. This is so lovely, Christine. The spots just set the stitcheries off beautifully. Look forward to seeing it "in the flesh" so to speak ;)

  2. Absolutely beautiful Christine. This has been on my "one day" list since Mrs Martin sent me the book - might have to move it a bit further up the list.

  4. What a beautiful quilt.
Amazing how clever cats are to get (at least a part of) themselves on a picture.

  6. Just a beautiful quilt top! I did a double take, Oliver looks just like Rolo walking across your quilt top. He was definitely giving it the kitty seal of approval for sure! He know a good thing when he sees it!

  24. with your pretty "crumbs" make a strippy ticker tape pillow or add to tea towels as a rag edge accent 2" from lower front edge. Stitch 2 lines down the center with a thread's width separating two lines on each strip butted close to the next strip.
btw, love your quilt and your crumbs!
